The toaster is ordinarybut the egg maker is superb. I had to order another oneas I can't live without the Tem-500. Anybody who loves eggs on toast as I do needs the Tem-500 from Back to Basics. Depending on the amount of water used, the eggs are always right.I had one before I moved to Costa Rica, gave that one away to lighten my load.

Cooks both the eggs and toast perfectly, and is simple to use. Buy this toaster, you won't regret it. This toaster has been fantastic. I love it.

I buy bacon and fix it myself and then refrigerate or freeze it instead of buying pricey pre-cooked bacon. I absolutely LOVE this toaster, it's everything people said it was, and if it dies after a few years I hope they are still making them because I don't want to be without it. She took care of my problem within minutes. I never would have bought it if it wasn't for the reviews because I thought it would be just another one of those appliances that always fall way short of billing. If you need a toaster, get this one.and it makes just plain toast too. We are constantly making either Egg Muffins or Bagel Muffins.

I felt like I was on a crusade telling anyone that would hold still long enough that they had to get one. I bought the Back to Basics TEM500 Egg & Muffin 2-slice Toaster in January of this year after reading many, many reviews. I didn't know such a thing even existed; I was just trying to find a good toaster and came across this egg and muffin toaster. I had one small problem of my own making when I first got it and I called their Customer Service; they couldn't be nicer.

If it takes much more time to make than a bowl of cereal, it's out. When I saw this item, I figured it would be right up his alley.

If I didn't have egg allergies, I'd use it all the time. We've had it for almost 2 months now and used it with no problems.

It's very easy to use. The item works as advertised, and I'd definitely recommend it to anybody who thinks they'd get a lot of use out of it.

I'd been looking for quick and easy breakfast solutions for my husband. He's just a no-fuss kind of guy.

The toaster side does lock in place so it prevents you from getting things ready for the egg, but that's not a huge deal.
